This unique, hand-hewn timber home is truly a wonder to see. In 1994, using huge old-growth salvaged Larch from the 1929 Rock Creek forest fire, the owners embarked on the challenging project of building their own hotel from scratch. We were a couple of tree planters with a vision of owning a rental on our ski hill, not builders.
